Who is responsible for your data?
Fay Ford, a designer based in the United Kingdom. If you have any questions, email fay@fayford.com.
What data do I collect?
Just your email address, and your name if you choose to provide it when signing up. Nothing else.
Why do I collect it?
Solely to send you the newsletter you signed up for. I won't use your details for anything else.
What's my legal basis for processing it?
Consent. You opted in when you signed up. You can withdraw that consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email.
Who else sees your data?
Your data is stored and managed through MailerLite, my email newsletter platform. They act as a data processor on my behalf and are bound by their own privacy obligations. I don't sell or share your data with anyone else.
Where is it stored?
MailerLite stores data in the European Union. Any transfers outside the UK or EU are covered by appropriate safeguards under UK GDPR.
How long do I keep it?
For as long as you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe, your details will be removed from the active mailing list. I may retain a suppression record (just your email address) to make sure I don't accidentally email you again.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
· Access the data I hold about you
· Have it corrected if it's wrong
· Have it deleted
· Object to or restrict how it's processed
To exercise any of these rights, just email me at fay@fayford.com and I'll sort it promptly.
How to unsubscribe
Every newsletter I send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you'll be removed immediately, no questions asked. You can also email me directly.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the ICO, at ico.org.uk. I'd appreciate the chance to sort things out first though — just drop me an email.
This policy may be updated occasionally. Any changes will be reflected here with a new date at the top.
